FAQ

The interface of this website is available in English and Spanish. Choose the language you want to read in the header, at the top of the page. Then use the language selector on the home page or on the Practice page to choose the language you want to learn.

Playing the games

On the home page, choose a game and play its rounds. Tap the heart on a card to save the game in your favorites; you will find it again from the heart in the header. A game you have already played in the language you are learning shows a “Played” badge. Some games say the words out loud: if you hear nothing, your device may not have a voice for that language.

Where can I find more things to do?

Open the menu with the button at the start of the header. There you will find ready-made lists of games, a shortcut to test your level and a page with all the words of the games, with their translation and pronunciation.

The menu will grow as the site grows, so check it from time to time.

What are tags and how do they work?

Tags are the small labels on every game. They describe its level and its topic. The level tags are a guide, not a certificate: they go from games for people who are just starting out to games for people with more experience.

The tag buttons above the games work like switches. Turn a tag off and the games that have it disappear. When you arrive, some tags are on and others are off; change them with one click and the site will remember your choice on this device.

You can also type in the search box: it looks at the titles and tags of the games in your language.

How do eggs and prizes work?

Eggs 🥚 are your points. You earn them by finishing games and by doing well in tests. Your avatar evolves as your eggs grow.

Tests are special: each one has a prize that you can win only once, and only if you do well enough. A prize can be eggs or an animation for your collection. Look for the “Prize” tag. You can repeat a test whenever you like, but then it is only practice.

Each language you learn has its own eggs and its own avatar, so your progress in one language does not change the others. You can see them on My Results and on your profile, for the language you are learning at that moment.

How do the tests work?

On the Practice page you will find the tests for the language you are learning. They are friendly activities, not official certificates: they show what you already know and what to practice next. Before you start, each test tells you what it takes to win its prize. Your progress is saved after every answer, so you can leave a test and come back later; an “In progress” tag tells you which ones you have started.

If you do very well in a level test, your avatar can evolve at once.

My Results and my profile

My Results shows, for the language you are learning, the games you have played and your tests. Your profile card shows your nickname, and the avatar and eggs of that language.

Your nickname is your user name on this site, in every language: choose it on the My Profile page. You do not need an account. For now, everything is saved in this browser, on this device: if you clear your browser data or use another device, you will start from scratch. You can also delete everything yourself from My Profile.

Privacy

We do not use cookies and we do not collect personal data: what you do on this website (your eggs, your favorites and your nickname) is saved only in your browser. To know how many people visit us, from which countries and which games they like, we use a simple visit counter (GoatCounter) that does not identify you and does not follow you to other websites. We do not sell advertising, and every game is suitable for children and teenagers.

Games show a level label, and some tests mention levels such as A1 or B2. They are a guide to the difficulty and follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

  • A1 - A2 Beginner. Everyday words, simple sentences and basic questions.
  • B1 - B2 Intermediate. You can handle familiar topics and express your ideas with more confidence.
  • C1+ Advanced (C1 and above). Complex texts, precise vocabulary and fluent communication.

My collection

The animations you win or buy are kept here, and they are yours in every language. You can have more than one of the same animation. Tap one to see it move.

Shop

Spend your eggs on animations for your collection. You pay with the eggs of the language you are learning, so the avatar of that language can go back a stage. Some animations can only be won as prizes.
